3 Unpack the new ESM canister.

a Set the new ESM canister on a dry, level surface near the storage enclosure.

b Save all the packing materials in case you need to return the ESM canister.

4 Remove the blank plate that covers the location for the new ESM canister (Figure

A–1).

5 Slide the new ESM canister all the way into the storage enclosure. Rotate the

latches to lock the ESM canister into place.

6 Connect all of the interface cables from the other storage enclosures to the new

ESM canister. See “Things to Know – Basic Cabling Configurations” on page 3-5.
